At the end of Reception, teachers judge whether or not a child has reached a ‘Good Level of Development’. This means they are working at the expected standard in:

Phonics Results 2024

Children in Year 1 take a 'phonics screening check'.  They have to decode and read 40 words.  Children who read 32 correctly pass the phonics check.

We are very proud of the fact that our school has been consistently rated 'Good' by OFSTED.

 

In our most recent inspection in September 2019, Ofsted stated that:

pupils feel happy and safe at this school’ 

 

That our school is  ‘an exciting place to be.’

 

Our teachers have 'high expectations of what pupils can achieve.'

 

All the staff make sure sure ‘they know each pupil well’ and are 'passionate about children’s learning.'

 

They offer a ‘wide range of opportunities to boost learning’ which ‘inspire the pupils’.
