Governing Body of Long Ditton Infant & Nursery School
Our Governing body is a representative group made up of parents, staff, local community and Local Authority appointees. The Governors have responsibility for the strategic direction of the school and its development.
The Governors meet termly as a whole governing body and more frequently in smaller sub-committees. Please check the School Calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
The sub-committees are delegated specific authority, and in return must report their actions and decisions to the full body. The sub-committees are:
- Children and Learning
- Personnel & Welfare
- Resources
The day to day running of the school is the responsibility of the Head Teacher and staff. The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the general conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.
