The three main aims of the governing body are:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school

  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

The Governors meet at least termly as a whole governing body and more frequently in smaller sub-committees. All of our meetings are closed.

The sub-committees are delegated specific authority, and in return must report their actions and decisions to the full body.  The sub-committees are:

  • Children and Learning, and
  • People and Resources

The day to day running of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher and staff. The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.
